Imperva doubles its presence in Russia by partnering with IXcellerate

Traffic-filtering solutions and world-class protection from DDoS attacks from Imperva are now available to all IXcellerate customers.

US-based cyber security company Imperva offering traffic-filtering solutions and protection from DDoS attacks has doubled its presence in Russia at IXcellerate Moscow One Datacentre. Over the last year, Imperva’s installation increased in size. The performance of the current PoP is 100Gb/second with a capacity to increase on demand.

“We are glad to be one of the first DDoS vendors to operate a dedicated DDoS scrubbing center in Russia. IXcellerate’s Tier 3+ infrastructure and service level, together with our global network capabilities, position us to mitigate even largest attacks with zero disruption to ongoing website operations. In terms of scope, the local DDoS market is estimated at approximately $40M and is growing steadily”, – said Rita Levinson Harel, channel sales manager at Imperva Incapsula.

Prior to IXcellerate installation, the internet-traffic from Russian clients was filtered through Imperva hubs in Warsaw and Stockholm, which negatively affected performance. Moreover, few key Russian customers requested that the processed traffic stays within the country.

Guy Willner, CEO and co-founder of IXcellerate, welcomed the partnership: “With the installation and the subsequent expansion of Imperva, IXcellerate customers are gaining an extra layer of protection granted by the new services in just cross-connect distance”.

Meeting the needs of Russian customers, Imperva’s data center hub in Moscow provides a full suite of award-winning DDoS protection as well as website performance and security services, including:

When exploring the Russian data center landscape, Imperva looked for a DC, that could ensure high infrastructure availability with full compliance to local legislation while maintaining the global SLA of 99.999%. The vast partner ecosystem at IXcellerate Moscow One Datacentre includes a substantial number of carriers providing a strong advantage, allowing Imperva access to many potential clients.
