The construction of IXcellerate’s Phase One data hall is complete and commissioning is well underway. Commissioning of the data centre incorporates testing all the equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. The pictures below show heaters throughout the data centre raised floor, which are being powered directly through the Power Distribution Units. By heating the data hall, we can test the Emerson CRAC units to ensure that they are cooling the data hall properly.
Commissioning also includes testing the batteries and generators to ensure they properly turn on when power to the UPS equipment is turned off. Commissioning is on target to be complete in the coming days as clients begin to install equipment in December.
