IXcellerate datacentre rack space is growing 4 times faster than the market.
IXcellerate has been named as the winner of the 2016 COMNEWS AWARDS in Russia.
IXcellerate Moscow One Datacentre became a market leader by significantly surpassing its competitors in terms of filling up racks at high speed in Russia. IXcellerate’s year-over-year rack space growth rate in 2015 was 125%, while the average market rate did not exceed 30%. The achievements of IXcellerate Moscow One Datacenter were honored at 2016 COMNEWS AWARDS ceremony, where the company was awarded the prize for the “fastest growing data center in terms of filled-up and operational racks”.
COMNEWS AWARDS is an award that is determined by the independent industrial ratings collected by the team of analytical experts. The winners are defined on measurable and comparable criteria. In order to determine the winner of «The Fastest Growing Datacentre rack space» category judges considered the number of racks already in operational use by customers, in relation to the overall number of racks, that were put in service.
By mid-2015 IXcellerate Moscow One Datacenter completed phase 2 of its expansion plan by adding a second hall for 490 racks, thereby upgrading the entire capacity of the Moscow One Datacenter campus up to 710 racks. By the time of the launch of the second hall, only 30% of rack space left free since current and new customers had booked all the other racks.
One of the key factors influencing high demand for IXcellerate’s services is its carrier and cloud neutrality, in other words: IXcellerate is not benefiting from the connectivity terms and prices onsite, thus giving customers the opportunity to select their carrier/provider of choice and leverage extensive IXcellerate’s partners’ ecosystem.
Another crucial success contributor of IXcellerate is its “pure play colocation” strategy allowing to focus all the efforts and resources only on single colocation type of service. This strengthens the core business and enables IXcellerate’s team to provide the highest level of availability and support at the SLA level of 99,999%. Finally, this breaches from competition with cloud service providers, many of whom are partners and customers of the Moscow One Datacenter.
Dmitry Fokin, Managing Director of IXcellerate, commented: «While constructing and operating the data center every minor detail is important – ranging from the careful planning of the data hall size and ending with time-to-response indicator per each customer’s requests. Our long-term strategy is based on the precise demand forecast and modular construction concept, which enable us to quickly increase the capacity of our Moscow One Datacenter in order to keep pace with the rising demand and requirements of our customers. We enable our customers to upgrade and scale their infrastructure with almost no limits and fully aligned with their business growth strategy.”
This year IXcellerate aims to grow faster than the market again as our capacity allows us to install up to 3000 racks. Overall our building is 6000 square meters, which place us among the top5 largest DC in Russia according to Comnews Analytics.
