On September 5, the 19th Annual International Forum “Data Center 2024” took place in Moscow, where IXcellerate traditionally participated not only as a participant but also as a sponsor of the event.
This year, the “star team” from our company was present onsite, including top managers, technical experts, and sales specialists.
IXcellerate’s Chief Technology Officer, Sergey Vyshemirsky, presented a report titled “New Data Center for AI“, emphasizing that the development of artificial intelligence requires the modernization of cooling systems in data centers.
In his speech, Sergey noted that IXcellerate has already developed an innovative data center project, MOS6 — featuring 24 data halls with a total power capacity of 100 MW, equipped with a unique combined “air-water” cooling system developed by the company’s R&D center.
Early next year, IXcellerate plans to launch an experimental laboratory in the Southern campus, where air-liquid cooling systems will be tested under various loads.
As part of the project, a demonstration area of less than 40 m² will house 16 server racks with a total power capacity of 1 MW. Cooling will be ensured through dual redundancy: water will be supplied both from a dedicated well on campus and from municipal networks. Key technologies of the project include water jacket dry coolers and liquid cooling distribution units (CDUs) responsible for refrigerant distribution.
Additionally, Sergey Vyshemirsky took part in a panel discussion dedicated to the trends in diesel generators use (DGs). Experts discussed issues related to selecting power capacities for energy centers, maintenance of DGs, and experiences with domestically-produced generator installations.
Particular interest was generated among forum participants by our interactive 3D model of the Southern campus, which was showcased at the exhibition during the event.
